At York Hospital Radio we are always looking for new members who are willing to join our team of volunteers and give time to a fantastic charity.

We have comprehensive training in place for all our volunteers and take pride in our station.  We are not just looking for presenters. In order to run an effective charity we need ward walkers, technical assistants, fundraisers, outside broadcast assistants.  There are really so many opportunities which do not involve needing to speak on air.

Current vacancies:

*Fundraising Lead - Someone to lead and co-ordinate our fundraising activities.

*Fundraisers - people to raise money for the station and organise events on our behalf

*Programme Controller - someone with radio experience to lead our team of on air presenters and create the schedule.

*Production Assistant - to make promos, station imaging and other special one off pieces of production.  Some experience of editing is required.

*Librarian - to catalogue music.

*Ward Walkers - walking the wards, meeting patients and taking their requests to the studio.

*Interest in sport - writing sports stories, presenting, recording sports reports.

*Interest in theatre - setting up equipment and being part of the broadcasting team at the different theatres we visit.
