Welcome to York Hospital Radio

Welcome to the web site of York Hospital Radio - the voluntary radio service broadcasting on Patientline, 24 hours a day to the patients, visitors and staff in the York Hospital.

The station is staffed entirely by volunteers who together provide a mix of entertainment, information, great music, news and friendly chat. York Hospital Radio is self funded through sponsorship and other fund raising initiatives ran throughout the year.

At York Hospital Radio we are always looking for new members who are willing to join our team of volunteers and give time to a fantastic charity.

We have comprehensive training in place for all our volunteers and take pride in our station.  We are not always looking for presenters. In order to run an effective charity we need ward walkers, technical assistants, fundraisers, outside broadcast assistants.  There are really so many opportunities which do not involve needing to speak on air.
